What's New in the World of Persistent Identifiers? PID Champions Share the Latest

Last month's NISO Plus Global/Online conference program featured the session "Persistently Evolving: What's New in the World of Persistent Identifiers," a panel discussion moderated by NISO Executive Director Todd Carpenter (NISO). Community leaders (and PID experts) John Chodacki (California Digital Library), Kora Korzec (Crossref), and Titusz Pan (ISCC Foundation) shared some of the latest news on PIDs, including updates on the International Standard Content Code (ISCC) and NISO's progress toward a US National PID Strategy.

NISO had planned to invite Jonathan Clark—a NISO board and Working Group member—to speak on this panel before his untimely death in August. To honor Jonathan's contributions to the PID community, both as a NISO volunteer and Managing Agent of the DOI Foundation, we opened the discussion to the public on September 17 and are now pleased to share the recording.
