Nancy Sims

Copyright Program Librarian

Smiling headshot of Nancy Sims of University of Minnesota

Nancy Sims is an attorney and a librarian (JD UMich; MLIS Rutgers), and is fascinated by the ways social reality intersects with legal and policy structures in the interstices of technology and human cultures. Nancy has been at the University of Minnesota for a bit over 10 years, and is not the "copyright police" on campus, but rather helps individuals and groups throughout the University and in the broader community understand how copyright may affect their work. Nancy's broad professional goal is always to provide accurate information, but also to advocate for policies and practices that support sustainable scholarship, democratic information access, and wide public cultural participation.

Any pronouns welcome.
