Matthew Ragucci is Director of Institutional Product Marketing at Wiley, where he bridges the gap between library needs and product strategy. With over fifteen years of experience across a range of information environments — including a formative stretch as an e-resources librarian and a current role moonlighting as a reference and instruction librarian— he brings a genuinely rare dual perspective on publishing and library practice, with a deep and lasting passion for metadata and its role as the backbone of discoverability and the researcher experience. His work at Wiley spans messaging, strategy, insights and sales enablement; always focused on translating what librarians and researchers need into solutions that work in practice. Embedded in the scholarly communications community, Matthew serves on the NISO Information and Discovery Interchange Topic Committee (as liaison to CREC), the NASIG Board, and the COUNTER Executive Committee. His professional interests include metadata, standards, open access, artificial intelligence, reference, and user experience, sitting squarely at the intersection of where libraries and publishers need to work better together.
