Gwen Evans is the VP of Global Library Relations at Elsevier. She was previously the Executive Director of OhioLINK and Associate Professor and Coordinator of Library Information and Emerging Technologies at Bowling Green State University. Evans has led major initiatives on the consortial level including academic content negotiations, statewide affordable textbook initiatives and was the founder of OhioLINK’s Workforce Diversity Initiative. She is the co-author with Roger Schonfeld of Ithaka S+R’s Issue Brief “It’s Not What Libraries Hold; It’s Who Libraries Serve Seeking a User-Centered Future for Academic Libraries”, author of several guest posts on the Scholarly Kitchen, and guest editor of a special issue of Against the Grain on Affordable Learning among other publications. She has a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the iSchool at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.
