Welcoming New NISO members for 2022!

NISO Member News

As a community-led, non-profit organization, NISO’s sustainability is dependent on our members. We are hugely grateful to every member organization — large and small — for your support. Many of you have been members for years, or even decades; others are newer to our community. We value and appreciate you all!

So far this year, we have welcomed 81 new members to the NISO community.

As previously announced, last year we reached an agreement with the PALCI consortium for 73 organizations to join NISO as Library Standards Alliance (LSA) members. At the time, their Executive Director, Jill Morris, noted that: “PALCI libraries are thrilled to extend our engagement with NISO through this agreement. NISO is a natural partner for us as we implement and advocate for standards-based library infrastructure and approaches that will enhance library collaboration and innovation. PALCI’s diverse membership is highly dependent on system interoperability. The important work NISO does to promote mutually accepted information exchange standards is vital to our consortium and to our industry.”

They are joined by two other new LSA members: the Equinox Open Library Initiative and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

We are also delighted to welcome six new Voting Members:

If your organization isn’t yet a NISO member, please see our website for LSA and Voting Member benefits  — including free attendance for all your staff at our monthly webinars. For more information, please contact nisohq@niso.org.

Thanks again to all our members, old and new, for your support!
