Amsterdam, NL – IOS Press, an independent international publisher of scientific, technical, and medical (STM) journals and books, announces the launch of its new branding and revamped corporate website (iospress.com) that represent its ongoing commitment to digital transformation and better communicate its corporate initiatives.

With guiding principles centered around providing content and tools that accelerate research and increase the impact of scientific endeavor, the new IOS Press website shares information about its publishing portfolio, initiatives, working practices, and tools designed to support its community of authors, editors, reviewers, librarians, and readers.

“The new IOS Press logo and branding were developed after taking a critical look at who we are as an STM publisher and how we are evolving as a company. The primary rationale behind our rebranding initiative is honoring our publishing roots and respecting the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge, while being open to innovation and renewal – the old and the new, going hand in hand. The culmination of this introspection is our new logo and revitalized website,” explained Dr. Einar Fredriksson, founder and director of IOS Press.

Building on its strong publishing legacy, IOS Press refocused its vision and mission to better reflect its digital strategy goals. It then embraced a set of core values in which all its business practices are grounded: integrity, flexibility, collaboration, and innovation.

What's Behind the New IOS Logo

  • The dots represent a network that delivers validated content and flexible services to a diverse global community.
  • The swirl of dots reflects increasing impact driven by collaboration.
  • The circle of arrows symbolizes the rapid and broad dissemination of information to accelerate research.
  • The increasingly large dots in a circle depict how each publication contributes to the impact of the next, contributing to a trustworthy scientific ecosystem that furthers understanding of the world.
