Al Brown serves as a Senior Project Manager at Ithaka, working for more than 25 years on complex, multi-team, technical projects. He has taught project management in a variety of in-person and online environments. Brown’s talk was featured in the recent NISO Training Series on Project Management. In it, he talks about project management principles and the impact those principles have on selecting tools and adapting workflows critical to the successful completion of a particular project. He offers practical insights into one organization’s approach, touching on Scrum teams and masters, handling meetings, scorecards, and other means of communicating to all members what’s happening on a project and the progress being made to achieve critical milestones.
