Labor and Capacity for Research Data Management, Part One

Webinar

About the Webinar

Research data management is a significant area of interest and concern to research organizations — whether as creators, curators, custodians, or consumers of the data. Ensuring that research data are available and accessible requires significant resources for research libraries and institutions, as well as publishers and repositories. The first section of this two-part webinar will consider the roles of archivists, data librarians, repository managers, and administrators in formulating and delivering suitable and effective services. A team of experts from across the information industry will consider questions such as: What communities of practice exist? What are the benefits of a general purpose data repository versus one that is discipline specific? What types of data are being managed? What practices and policies have proven effective?
