The NISO Working Group on Recommended Practices for the Presentation and Identification of E-Journals is creating guidelines to help publishers, providers and others in the journal supply chain offer consistent and proper identification of journal content that is mounted online. ISSN-L: The Linking ISSN

xISSN Web Service: Exposing Serials Identifiers, Relationships, and Metadata

xISSN is a web service provide by OCLC that provides developers and librarians with new ways for using and examining serials metadata from WorldCat and other sources. Have you ever been trying to trace a changing title of a journal, needed to know which form of a serial an ISSN represented, wanted to see all the ISSN associated with a journal, tried to determine the peer review status of a journal or wanted to easily know the feed for a journal Table of Contents? xISSN can help with all of these situations and more. Learn about the service and hear how members of the Developer Network are using the service to enhance user experiences and interfaces.
UKSG Transfer Code of Practice

The UKSG Transfer Code of Practice was developed by librarians, publishers and agents to provide a practical set of guidelines to follow when journals change ownership. The Code ensures that users don't lose access to content and that librarians are notified of changes in a more consistent fashion. This presentation will provide an overview of the Code and an update on how the Code has been working in practice since its launch at the end of 2008.

- Registration closes at 12:00 pm Eastern on November 10, 2010. Cancellations made by November 4th, 2010 will receive a refund, less a $20 cancellation. After that date, there are no refunds.
