Persistently Evolving: What's New in the World of PIDs

Persistent identifiers, or PIDs, are foundational to open research and research integrity. In this session, we’ll hear some of the latest news on PIDs for scholarly communications, including a new identifier for channel identification, project identification, the US National PID Strategy, and more. Following speaker presentations, we'll open the discussion to the broader audience, inviting participants to share questions as well as feedback on challenges around PID infrastructure, adoption, and more. 

This session is free and open to all in memory of Jonathan Clark, Managing Agent of the DOI Foundation and NISO board member. Note that if you are already registered for the 2026 NISO Plus Global Online conference, you will access the session via the conference program.

Broadcast Platform
