Wiley Joins U.S. Department of Energy's Genesis Mission Consortium to Advance AI-Powered Scientific Discovery

Wiley (NYSE: WLY) today announced its membership in the Genesis Mission Consortium, the public-private partnership supporting the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Genesis Mission, joining organizations including Nvidia, AWS, Microsoft, IBM, and AMD. Wiley is the only scientific publisher among the consortium's members and has been invited to demonstrate its work today at the Genesis Mission Annual Summit in Washington, D.C.
The Genesis Mission is a Department of Energy initiative to build the American Science and Security Platform, an AI-driven infrastructure designed to accelerate scientific discovery and harness AI to deliver real-world impact on the most pressing science and technology challenges. Wiley’s participation builds on decades of engagement with the DOE and other federal science agencies on research infrastructure.

CCC Named to KMWorld’s 2026 AI 100 List of Intelligent Knowledge Management Solution Providers

CCC was recognized by KMWorld as “…one of the most innovative companies advancing its offerings with AI and related technologies.”
The CCC licensing portfolio features options to support internal and external AI use cases for business, academic institutions, and AI system providers. These include the Annual Copyright License (ACL), an enterprise-wide, voluntary, non-exclusive licensing solution, featuring a consistent set of internal-only AI reuse rights from participating rightsholders; and the AI Systems Training License, a voluntary, non-exclusive solution for organizations training AI systems for uses external to their organization.

Cambridge reaches milestone as 75 percent of journal articles become open access

Cambridge University Press has reached a significant milestone in its transition to open access (OA), with 75 percent of its research articles to be published OA in 2026 and 50 percent of its journals now fully open.
Cambridge has made more progress than any other traditional publisher in shifting its journal portfolio away from traditional subscription models – where institutions and individuals pay to access content behind a paywall – toward a model where research is openly available to all readers.
GPO Launches Public Access to 1.2 Million Historic Government Records Dating Back to 1895

The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) has launched public access to more than 1.2 million newly available records of historic U.S. Government publications, making it easier than ever to find documents published between 1895 and 1976. The records are now live in the Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) and are available to the public at no cost. This launch improves search and discovery and opens the door to decades of Government publications that were previously difficult to locate online.
“Making these 1.2 million records available is an investment in the future of public access to Government information,” said GPO Superintendent of Documents Scott Matheson. “Researchers, students, librarians, and the public can now more easily find and use historic Government publications, and we look forward to seeing how the library community puts these records to work.”

ISSN International Centre and DOAJ Collaborate to Improve Scholarly Metadata

The ISSN International Centre and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) are pleased to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding, reinforcing our collaboration to improve metadata exchange, interoperability and the visibility of open access scholarly resources.
Since the launch of DOAJ in 2003, the ISSN International Centre has supported its work by providing access to the ISSN Portal. Initially, this access was made available through Lund University, where DOAJ was established. Since 2013, following the transfer of DOAJ to its independent operating organisation, this cooperation has continued through a series of dedicated agreements between the ISSN International Centre and DOAJ.
