|Abstract:||ONIX for Publications Licenses (ONIX-PL) is a standard for encoding the content of a license agreement for electronic resources, usually an agreement between a publisher and an academic library or library consortium. An ONIX-PL expression is a structured XML document that can be processed and interpreted by a library management system. ONIX-PL is maintained and supported by EDItEUR. This article describes what ONIX-PL does, how it works, the ONIX-PL Editor (OPLE), implementation progress, and future plans.|
