| Abstract: |
Standards require dedication and discipline. The author provides his opinion on why the days of being a standards nay-sayer should be over. In his own organization, OCLC, they took the risk of being an early implementer of NCIP version 2.0 and then shared their own software for item availability in discovery systems. The profession demands such sharing and cooperation. |
