Standards, Developments, and New Models for Cooperating
Adam Wathen is the Head of Collections Services at the K-State Libraries in Manhattan, KS. In this role, he oversees the Inter-Library Loan, Monograph Acquisitions, Binding, and Preservation units. As well, he coordinates collections activities by developing policies, overseeing fund allocations, and working with vendors. He has also held positions as Director of Library Services at Tabor College, Reference and Government Publications Librarian at Creighton University, and Reference Librarian at Montana State University - Bozeman. He earned an MLS and an MA in English from Emporia State University, and a BA in Biblical-Religious Studies and Philosophy from Tabor College. Adam's interests include: organization design, integration of business philosophies into the academic environment, and developing more efficient workflows and service models by taking advantage of new technologies and "Web 2.0" concepts.
