We have
added a SERU document type to our locally developed ERM, CORAL, to help
us track how many times we are referencing SERU when ordering
electronic content. We do not have a documented workflow in place for
every new order - to ask for SERU terms or to check the SERU registry
with every order, but we have been offered SERU terms by providers as
well as suggested SERU to providers and they have agreed to reference
those terms. We do check the registry from time to time, but not as an
automatic step in our pre-acquisition workflow at this time. At
current count, we have used SERU about 20 times since 2008.

Andy

Hi all,
I’m curious to know how Libraries are adding
SERU to their internal workflow when purchasing electronic content.
Thanks in advance for any feedback supplied.
