Hello everyone,

The NCIP Implementers Group recently received approval from ANSI to maintain 
the Standard under a process called Continuous Maintenance.  Now, instead of a 
five year review cycle, updates may be published up to twice per year.  The 
complete process under which the Implementers Group will operate is available 
at the NCIP website (http://www.ncip.info/; see the section on Continuous ;
Maintenance on the main page).

Attached to this message is a summary of the enhancement requests and defect 
reports that are currently outstanding.  If you have a enhancement to request 
or a defect to report, please post your ideas to this list.  Change requests 
should provide as much detail as possible, including use cases or other 
examples of the "real world" need.  I, as the NCIP Maintenance Agency, am 
responsible for compiling those requests, informing NISO, and presenting them 
to the Implementers Group.  The deadline for submitting a change request to be 
reviewed at the spring NCIP IG meeting to be held in April is March 1.
