Dear all,

As you'll know from our last update, we are in the process of  
finalising the recommendations for data exchange that will form the  
bulk of KBART's phase I report. Before we publish these  
recommendations we would like to have them tested by various  
representatives from the information supply chain to ensure that they  
are as useful and intuitive as we believe them to be.

To that end we are seeking volunteers to help us test the  
recommendations:

* content providers (publishers, database owners, hosts etc) to test  
packaging up their holdings for provision to knowledge bases

* libraries to test exporting data from their OPAC for provision to  
knowledge bases, to localise their link resolver

* libraries with home-grown link resolvers to test receiving and  
processing data from content providers

* knowledge base suppliers (link resolvers, ERMs) to test receiving  
and processing data from content providers

If your organisation falls into any of the above categories and you  
would be willing and able to help us test KBART's recommendations over the next 
few weeks, please contact either of the KBART chairs at your earliest

charlie.rapple@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx).
