NISO Public E-mail Lists and Archives

NISO maintains a number of e-mail lists that are available to the public to inform interested parties of ongoing work and to serve as forums for questions and feedback. In some cases, anyone may subscribe to the list and post messages. In other cases, subscribers and postings are limited, but anyone may view the archives.

Lists

The type of list identifies what functions are available to the public:

  • Closed - Only group members can subscribe and post. Archives are not publicly available.
  • Archive - The public may only view archives. Only group members may subscribe and post.
  • Announce - The public may subscribe to the list and view archives. Only list administrators may post to the list.
  • Post - Anyone may subscribe and post to the list. Archives are available to the public.
