Sometimes, we can't avoid having equations within article titles or book titles as part of bibliographic items/references (element-citation). This works for article-title since inline-formula and mml:math are allowed, but when using this for book-titles (source), these elements are no longer available.

For example, when referencing this title (https://zbmath.org/?q=an:1233.11056) mathml/la-tex could be used for correct rendering.

Submitter Proposed Solution

For consistency reasons, article-title and source should have the same content model.

(and especially allowing inline-formula)

The element <inline-formula> will be allowed inside <source> and we will look to see if there are other ways in which <source> and <article-title> should be aligned.
