I might be completely misunderstanding this document, but it seems that the basic and enhanced metadata element sections leaves a lot out.  Given the power of faceted searching, the lack of this document to encourage inclusion of common limiters for content and material types will relegate any vendor claiming to meet the basic OR enhanced metadata standards far below library expectations.  Examples: Peer-reviewed/scholarly; or the content or material types such as book review/performance review; literature review; opinion/editorial; dissertations/theses; newspapers; documentary/original source; patent; trade publication; magazine; score;   Thanks.
