To Whom It May Concern:

    We have a project to share data related to electronic resources (ex. meta-data of e-Journal and e-book).    And, the shared data include KBART and contract information for academic libraries.   We call this project ERDB (Electrical Repositories Data Base).   In ERDB, KBART is main data format.   We have expected that KBART will become main role of e-resources for academic usage.

    KBART data in ERDB contain global KBART (English title) and Japan KBART (Japanese title).    We recommend that KBART Phase II add the fields dealing with multiple languages titles;

1) [ language ]

  This field contains language type.    This language type indicates the body text in journal.    Language code should be provide ISO639-2.

2) [ publication_title_reading]

  This field contains the title reading in the language assigned by language-field-code.

Because, CJK language (Chinese, Japanese and Korean) and so on have some reading for one character.

3) [ publication_title_second ]

    Some countries are not native speaker of English. These countries journal title represents domestic title and English title.  We recommend second title filed keeping domestic title.
