The definition of <supplementary-material> has a usage note that says the element is used "inside the document metadata as an alert to the existence of supplementary material so that such material can be accessed from the document". Alf Eaton wrote on jats-list on 2013-01-21 that he took "inside the document metadata" to mean "inside <back>", but I think we mean "inside <article-meta>". |

We should clarify as intended. |

When I wrote "definition", I think I meant the Tag Libraries. It's not in the PDF on the NISO website but instead at http://jats.nlm.nih.gov/publishing/tag-library/1.0/?elem=supplementary-material . |
