I like that the new draft addresses the changing landscape of e-resource licenses, to include e-books. However, I believe that if SERU is going to begin to encompass e-book purchases, there should be a mention of the DRM associated with e-books. |
| Submitter Proposed Solution |
This problem could be solved by including a sentence or two in the section entitled "Statements of Common Understandings for Acquiring Electronic Resources" simply stating that as DRM measures can often be associated with e-book purchases, the publisher and the library should come to an understanding on what DRM limitations (if any) will be applicable to the sale. |
