as and accessibility mechanism goes into and out of fashion. Current fashion (recommendations from the WEB 2 folks who believe in URIs) is that not contain the actual description but a URI pointer to that description. I do not believe that the text of the should contain the URI, for the sake of screen readers which may do it the old way. However, if the linking attributes were added, it would be possible to provide the URI as a link instead of or in addition to the textual description.
