This is a very interesting discussion which I had some trouble following. I wonder if it could be clarified somewhat, perhaps by some diagrams illustrating the difference between the options described. I found Delivery Route Clustering and Hold Queue CLustering particularly hard to follow. I assume a "hold queue" is a list of patrons who are waiting for a book, but perhaps this should be added to Terms and Definitions. The hold queue (and the value of ignoring it) is mentioned in both Hold Queue Clustering and Closest Available Copy--perhaps these should be grouped together and differentiated? I also wonder if it would be helpful in this section to distinguish between practices that can speed up delivery between branches of a multi-branch library system, and between different libraries that may or may not be members of a consortium.
