| Description | Proposed work item submitted by Tim Jewell (Director, Information Resources and Scholarly Communication, University of Washington Libraries) and Ivy Anderson (Director of Collections, California Digital Library) to the Business Information Topic Committee for review/approval. This proposal was initially discussed during the May 26, 2009 Business Information Topic Committee conference call. It was decided in that call to enable the document for comments for a period ending June 5, 2009. Two comments were submitted; these were addressed in an e-mail to the committee on 6/8/09; no further discussion was made. It was agreed via e-mail that, barring any further discussion, the item would go to ballot within committee. This was done in a ballot opening June 15th and closing June 30, 2009. The proposal was approved by the committee by 10 votes (83%) in favor, none against. The expected outcome of this proposal is a report to the Topic Committee, which will also be made public. Reports and white papers do not require Voting Member ballots. |
